About the event
Alchemy in Motion is created by Jambo Truong and Ricky Saputra, both Forrest Yoga Guardians and international teachers. Together they bring decades of experience in biomechanics, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Applied Developmental Kinesiology.
This training expands beyond yoga. You will learn the science and philosophy of movement that supports every movement pattern in the human body. At the completion of the training, you will be able to apply this knowledge of anatomy and movement to yoga, weight training, and any physical practice. These skills are practical, adaptable, and empowering.
Life itself came with a manual, and that manual is stored inside the body. Infants reveal this wisdom instinctively. They breathe fully and discover how to roll, crawl, and stand without instruction. Through Applied Developmental Kinesiology, you will access and embody this original intelligence, reconnecting with the patterns that make all movement possible.
By exploring the stages of movement, you also engage with somatic experiences that formed during pre-verbal and pre-emotive stages of life. Revisiting these sequences creates profound healing and integration, allowing resolution of early developmental experiences that shape how you move, feel, and relate today.
What Makes This Training Unique
• Yoga Therapy Emphasis – Develop the skills to support students at their own pace and hold space for the emotional processes that embodied practices naturally bring forward.
• Multi-Disciplinary Approach – Learn muscle testing from kinesiology lineages, fascia release techniques, and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Applied Developmental Kinesiology.
• Embodied Anatomy and Biomechanics – Explore structure, function, and movement patterns with clarity and depth so you can teach and sequence with precision and confidence.
• Pranayama for Sequencing – Learn specific pranayama practices that shape intelligent sequencing for individual conditions. For example, a student with flare ribs may be locked in inhalation and benefit from sequences focused on exhalation. A student compressed in exhalation will benefit from practices that open inhalation.
Training Experience
Each day follows a rhythm that balances practice, embodiment, and integration.
Morning – Regulation and Embodiment
The day begins with guided meditation and pranayama, enriched by rhythmic practices with voice, percussion, and partner yoga that build co-regulation and connection. The second part of the morning focuses on embodying the sequences themselves, giving you direct experience of the anatomical and biomechanical themes.
Afternoon – Integration and Application
Afternoons focus on learning to assemble sequences and apply them in practice. You will work with each other, refine teaching methodology, explore approaches to common conditions, and develop therapeutic hands-on assists. Anatomy and theory sessions are woven throughout to anchor your teaching in both science and lived experience.
