Handstand isn’t about “holding as long as you can.”

It’s about how you enter and what you do once you’re there.


At Handstand Camp 2026, Ricky Saputra — Forrest Yoga Guardian & Movement Therapist — will guide you through 4 days of training designed to recode your mount and shape mechanics.

You’ll learn how to enter your handstand with confidence and create stable, strong, and breathable lines. 📚 What You’ll Learn at Handstand Camp 2026


Handstand isn’t just about “being strong” or “staying up longer.” It’s about learning the right skills in the right order. In this camp, you’ll gain:


1. Reliable Mounts (Tuck & Straddle Entries)

• How to approach the floor with focus instead of fear.

• Breaking down tuck and straddle entries into easy-to-train steps.

• Timing drills: how to coordinate arms, core, and legs for a smooth lift-off.

• Kicking up without overshooting or crashing back down.

• Safe exit techniques so you never have to fear falling.


2. Shaping Your Handstand

• How to create a straight line using ribcage–pelvis stacking and breath control.

• Building strength and stability in tuck handstands (great for balance training).

• Finding lightness and openness in straddle handstands.

• Micro-adjustments through fingers, wrists, and shoulders that make your shapes last longer.

• The difference between “holding” and actively balancing.


3. Breath-Driven Stability

• Using your breath to connect your ribcage, core, and pelvis.

• Techniques to calm nerves when upside down.

• Learning how breathing keeps you stable instead of destabilizing your line.


4. Joint Prehab & Longevity

• Wrist conditioning to build resilience and reduce strain.

• Shoulder prep for strength, openness, and endurance.

• Spinal alignment drills to protect your lower back.

• Principles of sustainable training so you can keep practicing handstands for years.

5. Integration & Play

• Combining mounts and shapes into flow practice.

• Developing endurance step by step (without burnout).

• Play Lab sessions to experiment with variations, transitions, and personal challenges.

• Individual feedback from Ricky to help you identify your next growth steps.
