This training is designed for practitioners and teachers who want a focused immersion into Forrest Yoga with a strong emphasis on therapeutic application, intelligent sequencing, and teaching skill.
It is a concise and structured program that gives clear insight into working through the lens of a Forrest Yoga teacher. The focus is on developing hands on intelligence, observational precision, and confident teaching in real time.
Jambo Truong and Ricky Saputra are both Forrest Yoga Guardians, personally selected by Ana Forrest to continue the legacy of Forrest Yoga as a system of asana, somatics, and biomechanics. They have delivered and assisted several teacher trainings internationally and have been entrusted to carry forward the depth, integrity, and evolution of this work. Together they have trained practitioners across multiple countries.
Jambo is a multidisciplinary practitioner integrating biomechanics, therapeutic bodywork, classical East Asian medicine, breathwork, trauma aware practice, and ceremonial frameworks. He is a specialist in mental health, addiction, chronic pain, and trauma. His teaching bridges anatomical precision with emotional intelligence and embodied leadership.
Ricky specialises in biomechanics, sequencing intelligence, and inversion work including handstands. He is also highly experienced in athletic performance and exercise prescription and is a multi award winning athlete in strength training, powerlifting, and recovery. His strength lies in refining movement efficiency, structural balance, and intelligent progression so teachers understand how to build practice with clarity and purpose.
Forrest Yoga also invites practitioners to share the spiritual journey through their own lived perspective. Ceremony is woven into the practice through pranayama, meditation, and songs that uplift the spirit and deepen connection.
Day 1
Forrest Yoga Foundations and Standing Work
Explore classical Forrest Yoga poses and learn how to work with them to improve joint stability and support deeper somatic experiences through practice. You will learn how to sequence a Standing Pose Series, a key method within Forrest Yoga that supports bone density, restores nervous system balance, and enhances grounding, strength, and embodiment.
Day 2
Smart Sequencing for Hips
Learn how to sequence intelligently for the hips with a therapeutic approach that supports recovery and sustainable progress. This day focuses on safe and effective modifications for hamstrings, piriformis patterns, and sacroiliac joint support, helping teachers respond more clearly to the bodies in front of them.
Day 3
Smart Sequencing for Backbends
Learn how to build backbends in a way that creates space, support, and progression. This day focuses on decompressing the shoulders from the effects of everyday life, improving joint range of motion, and opening the shoulders and neck with greater clarity, safety, and ease.
Forrest Yoga focuses on working with the body we have, building from our gifts, and respecting our injuries as doorways into deeper practice, personal transformation, and healing from chronic pain and trauma.
